Syfilis

Were you looking for information about Syphilis? Syfilis is a common misspelling of syphilis.

Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease sometimes called "the great imitator" because it has so many possible symptoms that are similar to those of many other diseases. It is transmitted through direct contact with syphilis sores, which occur on the external genitals, vagina, anus, lips, and in the mouth. In order to treat the disease, which is caused by a bacterium called Treponema pallidum, your healthcare provider may prescribe penicillin and recommend that you get retested after 6 to 12 months.
